What information we collect and why we collect it

At EcoBuddies™ Interactive Ltd, we collect and keep very little information and the information that we do collect and keep is non-personal in nature.

The only exception to this is information that you voluntarily send us, should you want us to reply in a certain manner. Any such information you send to us is periodically discarded.

Because EcoBuddies™ Interactive Ltd. is an incorporated company and located in British Columbia, Canada; we follow the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of British Columbia, Canada, which came into force in January, 2004.

The following is a list of the information that we collect and keep, along with the reasons why:

• The overall number of accounts that are created
• This allows us to grow at a rate that gives optimal play and performance for the users.
• Cookies are small data files that can be placed on your computer by your browser when you visit different internet websites. EcoBuddies™ only looks at the cookies set by our website, and these cookies do not provide any personal identifying information. We use cookies to obtain general, non-personal information about such things as how long a user stays on our site and the number of visitors.
• This is collected so that we can design and build our application for better user experience.
• Whether or not an account has become a paying account.
• This allows us to activate areas of the website that are for paying members only
• Usernames
• For the functionality of the game.
• Passwords
• For the functionality of the game.
• The parent or guardian’s email address
• This allows us to contact the parent if a child indicates that they have forgotten their password. The password will then be send to the said email address, which is connected to the child’s user name.
• On occasion EcoBuddies may send out an email indicating a special event on the website, or an invitation to the website.

By clicking the “I agree” box, you are agreeing to allow us to collect the information as stated above. If you do not want us to collect and keep this non-personal information, please do not use our Website.

All of our contests you may choose to participate in will require only your user name as we will notify the winners through the parent or guardian’s email addresses that are associated with those user names.

Third Party Information Collection

The only time that personal information will be collected is when you voluntarily submit it to the bank by becoming a paying EcoBuddies™ member. This information is secured by the bank with secure encryption technology. NONE of this personal information is stored or maintained by EcoBuddies™ Interactive Ltd. Should you need to contact us with questions regarding your account, only the EcoBuddies™ billing department has access to limited personal information that the banks collect and hold. You can contact EcoBuddies™ at 604-568-5189 and your call will be directed to the billing department.

Opt out Clause: If you feel EcoBuddies is not abiding by this policy, please contact us immediatley via telephone at 1.604.568.5189 or via email at "support@ecobuddies.com". If you (the parent or guardian) decide to contact us, any personal contact information that you send us will be used to correspond with you. Once the correspondence is complete, this information is periodically erased from our computer systems. Should any child contact us, we erase all of the personal information they may have provided us with as soon as the issue has been resolved. Please note the Privacy Policy will be updated from time to time. It is your responsibility to check the date at the top of the policy, and re-read it if you have not yet read and agreed to the updated policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, or with any subsequent Privacy Policy updates that may be posted please do not use this website.
